"Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4

It took me a long time to write this post. For a statement that seems so simple, there are many facets to it, and I ultimately decided to go with three of them.

I am a full-time dad, a part-time writer, and a man with a lot of questions. After an education in dogmatic theism and a rough patch in life drove me away from Jesus, my own anger made me realize how far I had fallen, how far I had become separated from God. This blog is an outlet for my thoughts and observations on my journey back.

While the main focus of this blog is the written words of Jesus, you might see posts about whatever was in my head at a given moment. For a more detailed explanation of the blog, check out the first post.
