“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

Jesus started his public ministry with a phrase that has gotten a lot of play:

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (NAB)

What's going on here?

I am a full-time dad, a part-time writer, and a man with a lot of questions. After an education in dogmatic theism and a rough patch in life drove me away from Jesus, my own anger made me realize how far I had fallen, how far I had become separated from God. This blog is an outlet for my thoughts and observations on my journey back.
