"Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Matthew 4:19

As Jesus began his ministry around the Sea of Galilee, he started choosing his disciples. The first four were fishermen, and he gave them the enduring directive:

"Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." (KJV)

What's going on here?

I am a full-time dad, a part-time writer, and a man with a lot of questions. After an education in dogmatic theism and a rough patch in life drove me away from Jesus, my own anger made me realize how far I had fallen, how far I had become separated from God. This blog is an outlet for my thoughts and observations on my journey back.
